Tales from the unexpected
The well-sized bathroom surprised us in our small room. Blissful quiet nights and a great breakfast buffet completed our experience. A short walk to parks and restaurants enhanced convenience. Plus, the friendly staff added a warm touch. A good spot to explore and relax!

Hellstens Malmgard is a wonderful little hotel in Sondermalm. The building itself, it's history and decor make it a unique place. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, the decor eclectic and stylish. Best of all, the enclosed and private courtyard, terrace, the rear space that will one day be a garden, and the elegance of the building lend it a sense of real calm and relaxation the middle of Stockholm. We had a very wonderful stay there and would lpve to go back.
At the time of writing, the hotel still isn't totally refurbished and work is ongoing. This doesn't disturb you as a guest - but it will be great to say what it is like when the rear garden is fully planted and all rooms available. The owners have a clear vision of what they are going to create - you can see that from what has already been done. Hope to be abe to see it when the vision is complete.

A hidden secret in the heart of Soedermalm! Absolutely lovely hotel, cute room and super friendly staff. In top of everything very good and fresh breakfast with local ingredients and free wifi. I highly recommend this to everybody, who require little something else than just a regular hotel.

Charming, older architecture adds character to the experience. The breakfast spread included a solid variety, setting a good tone for the day.
The Standard Double or Twin Room was lacking in transparency, not matching online photos, with a cutoff ceiling due to a mezzanine and a bathroom that was unusually tiny. While noise from the nearby metro was a constant disturbance, it took away from the comfort of the stay, especially considering the price paid.

The breakfast spread was a highlight, especially the variety of vegetarian options and fresh fruits that fueled our daily explorations.
The room lacked a minibar and kettle, which would have added convenience for late-night snacks or hot drinks.

The hotel had a charming atmosphere with characterful decor. My room, the Standard Double or Twin Room, was compact but cozy, fitting my needs perfectly. The staff's cute demeanor made a positive first impression. Breakfast offered a decent variety, enough to start my day. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the metro, made exploring Stockholm easy. The bathroom was really small and the wooden floor had a few splinters that needed attention.

Lovely old building - newly renovated. Room and toilet/shower were small but adequate. Tastefully decorated. Breakfast good. Staff extremely friendly and cooperative. Coffee and bikkies available at all times. Overal,l we enjoyed our stay there. It was a different experience to larger hotels.
Very small toilet/shower facilities, but we managed.

A nice and friendly staff welcomed us in the most charming refurbished old house quietly situated on Soder. Easy to get to downtown Stockholm - either by strolling down through nice parks and streets or by the metro. Nice value for money, though the breakfast table has a potential to improve.

Historical character, unique loft-style rooms, charming courtyard entrance
Small room sizes could really use more storage!!! Bathrooms lack privacy and functionality, not ideal for a comfortable stay!!! Noise from other guests in the wooden structures made relaxation difficult, an area definitely needing attention!!!

The staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The location was excellent, near to a subway stop and close to Goetgatan, but still on a quiet street.
For a hotel of this price, the breakfast could have been much better (for instance there were no fruits), that was the only negative thing about Hellstens Malmgård.
